Rei! I'm up for the challenge.
So, some of you may not be aware, but I actually despise Ramen. Well, actually any noodle to be frank. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but after watching Rie's videos on Buzzfeed Tasty, I slowly realized that maybe the one thing I hate could actually become something that I would keep as a staple in my household.

Anytime we had eamen in our house that meant that my grandmother was not going to cook for the rest of the week. Even as a child, I enjoyed home cooked meals over fast food. My grandmother would wake us up at 6 am to make fresh biscuits and jam and even though the time was early, I appreciated the hard work she put into making her meals. On the weeks that she took a break, which by all means I condone now. I would watch her prepare little packets of ramen. Her ramen never used the seasoning that the bag came with, instead she used substitute salt seasoning to make it slightly healthier. My family, like many others had blood pressure issues and my grandmother made sure that we took care of our health at a very young age, even if it was by doing the bare minimum.

This peanut butter ramen recipe is something my grandmother would have approved of, it's a simple three base ingredient combination that combines peanut butter, soy sauce, 1/2 a seasoning packet, and sesame oil.
As one would imagine, we'll start by boiling our noodles and cooking our egg on the stove. I like my poached eggs well done, but cook yours how you would like.

After the noodles boil, I coat the bottom of my pot with 1/2 cup of sesame oil and 1/2 cup of water. Sesame oil is very strong and water stops the noodles from sticking to the pot. Next, you add in a tbsp of peanut butter.

I'm nut a huge peanut butter fan either, but it tastes good in noodles, so I might have to be super careful making such a bold declaration. Finally add in a few dashes (ancestor ratio) of soy sauce and garlic powder along with with your packet seasoning. I allow the dish to simmer for a little while until I can smell the peanut butter becoming a bolder flavor. Once the food gets to your standards. Plate it with your green onions or shallots and your eggs.
Recipe
2 packets of chicken flavor Ramen (use whichever flavor your prefer)
1/2 seasoning packet
Ancestor ratio of Soy Sauce
1 tbsp of Peanut butter
1/2 cup of sesame oil
1/2 cup of water
2 poached eggs (optional)
handful of green onions or shallots
ancestor ratio of garlic powders
Instructions
Step 1:
Boil your noodles and cook your eggs simultaneously.
Step 2:
After your noodles have boiled coat the bottom of the pan with sesame oil and add in your soy sauce, seasonings, and peanut butter.
Step 3:
Once the noodles have created a brown coating and are not extremely sticky (if this happens add in another 1/2 cup of water.) Add in your poached egg and green onions or shallots.
Step 4:
You done!
